Installing the gas cartridge for the crash-active head restraint

• When the head rest has been actuated: 

  Pull the lock (1) downwards and push the head rest (2) completely towards the rear.

• Adjust the distance (a) between the head rest (1) and the holder of the gas cartridge (2) to approx. 4 mm.
• Insert the gas cartridge (3) from the rear.

• Twist the gas cartridge (1) in direction of arrow until it engages at the lock (2).
• Connect connector (3).

• Set the cover (1) from behind onto the head restraint (2) and clip in.

Follow-up Work 

• Connect all battery EARTH LEADS .
• Activate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
