Remove the backrest lock
- Unlock and fold back rear seat backrest.NOTE: If the rear seat backrest cannot be unlocked, operate the emergency release.
- Unclip the Bowden cable from the holders (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
Emergency release of rear seat backrest
- Open luggage compartment.
- Insert the screwdriver for levering in the opening of the backrest lock.
- Press the screwdriver to the center of the vehicle in the direction of the arrow and in so doing press the mounting point (1) of the Bowden cable outwards in the direction of the arrow.
- Guide the backrest lock (1) out slightly and unclip the Bowden cable (2).
