Replacing the drivetrain for the head restraint height adjustment on the front seat

- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

Preliminary works
- Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Remove the top rear panel on the front seat REAR PANEL .
- Remove the rear panel at the bottom of the front seat REAR PANEL .
- Remove the front seat crash-active HEAD RESTRAINT .
Removing drive for head restraint height adjustment on front seat
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
- Unlock the latch mechanism (2).
- Push the drive for head restraint height adjustment (3) towards the right and remove it.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The drivetrain for the head restraint height adjustment must be replaced as soon as the head restraint is removed.

- Replace drivetrain for head restraint height adjustment (3).
Parts: Drive unit for head restraint height adjustment
- Correctly position the drive for head restraint height adjustment (3) and push it towards the left until the latch mechanism (2) engages.
- Connect connector (1).
Follow-up Work
- Install the front seat crash-active HEAD RESTRAINT .
- Install the bottom rear panel on the front seat REAR PANEL .
- Install top rear panel on front seat REAR PANEL .
- Connect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- INITIALIZE the electrical seat adjustment drives.
