BMW:	All Models with a BDC-03 (SP 2018) or BCP-01 (SP 2021)

INFORMATION

For the central control unit variant of the Body Domain Controller BDC-03 (ServicePack2018 (SP18)) and the central control unit Basic Central Platform BCP-01 (ServicePack2021 (SP21)), new adapter cables are required for diagnosis of the control units.

Examples of models using SP18: G05, G06, G07, later G30, later G01; models using BDC.

Examples of models using SP21: G05 LCI, G06 LCI, G07 LCI, G09, G60, G70, i20, U10, U11; models using BCP (basic central platform)

Distribution of the following tools are through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. *(early-mid 2024)

Each BMW service location receives Qty. 1 of each of the below listed tools
Additional tools may be purchased through your Regional Distribution Center (RDC)

132-pin Test Box Set

Application: Supports all existing and future V-cables with D-sub connectors.

This test box set has shielding which will allow this tool to be used in all future generations of highly sensitive control units and bus systems. The internal resistance was accordingly kept low in order to achieve the best measuring and diagnosis results.

The new test box set was optimized in particular to measure:

Resistances
Voltages in the mV range
Currents in the mA range

Due to its modular structure, this test box set may be upgraded to allow for future diagnostic requirements.
