SURROUND VIEW CAMERA DISPLAYS INCORRECT VEHICLE MODEL

SITUATION

After programming the vehicle, the incorrect vehicle model is displayed in the CID (Central Information Display) when surround view camera function is active.

CAUSE

ICAM2 (Integrated Camera) control unit software error.

CORRECTION

Update the vehicle profile using ISTA.

NOTE: This has been corrected in production from 3/2017.

PROCEDURE

For conditions that are similar to the situation described:

Connect the vehicle to the current version of ISTA.
Perform the service function "Transmit vehicle profile".
The service function can be accessed as follows: Vehicle management/Service functions/Driver Assistance/All-round vision camera/Transmit vehicle profile.
Once the service function is completed, allow the vehicle to sleep for 5 mins before confirming the correct vehicle model is displayed when the surround view camera is activated.

Always connect a BMW-approved battery charger/power supply (SI B04 23 10) .
