SITUATION

Driving Assistance support reduced Check Control Message (CCM) is displayed sporadically. All or some of the system functions maybe inoperative.

NOTE: This Service Information Bulletin (SI B) purpose is to provide known fault location details gathered from various cases submitted. If you encounter this situation, please submit an Info Only TSARA case with pictures if:

The root cause found is different from the information contained in this SI B

CAUSE

Refer to the attachment showing the identified root causes.

CORRECTION

Locate and correct the root cause.

PROCEDURE

Duplicate the issue.

Perform a vehicle test and complete all relevant test plans.

Depending on the model being repaired, follow the appropriate repair instructions for removing and reinstalling the body and trim panels as outlined in ISTA.

The wire harness may have to be unwrapped to properly identify/find the damaged wires (root cause).

Perform repairs as needed to correct the cause(s) found.

Check and replace any failed fuse(s).

Retest to verify the issue is resolved.

Obtain and confirm the part numbers for your specific vehicle by entering the chassis number in either ETK or AIR which takes into account specific equipment and/or options.
