INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DOES NOT DISPLAY SPORT MODE

SITUATION

After programming, the customer may complain that the Sport Mode display is not fully displayed in the instrument cluster.

Instead of a red background in sport mode, the background is displayed in blue (like ECO PRO mode).

CAUSE

Unfavorable software setting in the instrument cluster KOMRSP18 after updating to I-Level 19-11-5xx or higher.

CORRECTION

Reset of the stored Personal Profiles (PIA).

PROCEDURE

Connect the battery charger to the vehicle
Connect the diagnosis system to the vehicle (ISTA 4)
Select "Vehicle Information"
Select "Control Unit Tree"
Select "Head Unit High"
Select "Component Triggering"
Select "Reset Personal Profile"
Turn off the vehicle and allow the vehicle to enter its sleep cycle

NOTE: The customer's Personal Profiles will need to be recreated in the vehicle after this procedure.

CLAIM INFORMATION

During the same workshop visit, after performing the software programming procedure, resetting the stored Personal Profiles (PIA).

Refer to AIR

Claim with the defect code that applies to the initial/previous covered programming campaign/repair work that necessitated this additional work procedure to be performed

Refer to AIR for the corresponding flat rate unit (FRU) allowances.

If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 00 00 556 instead of 00 00 006, or exclude (including 61 21 528) when the Vehicle Test is included in another repair.

Work time labor operation code 65 12 300 is not considered a Main labor operation.
