Flush and vent the rear axle brake circuit

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use only BMW-approved BRAKE FLUIDS .

Preliminary work

NOTE: Description is for right component only. The procedure on the left side is identical.

Begin with the flushing at the right rear.
Connect the vent hose with the collecting vessel to the bleed valve (1) on rear right brake caliper.
Open the bleed valve (1) and purge it until clear, bubble-free brake fluid emerges.

Close bleed valve.

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Rear bleed valve
Bleed valve	Tightening torque	10 Nm
