CBS DISPLAYS AN IMPLAUSIBLE AVERAGE MILEAGE PER WEEK VALUE OF 1,584 IN ISPA NEXT

SITUATION

In the ISPA NEXT Conditioned Based Service (CBS) application, the Average Mileage per Week and the Average Service Life (located in the Key Data printout) shows and locks in an implausible value of 1,584 miles for some vehicles.

This issue does not affect how CBS determines individual maintenance service tasks are either Recommended or Due.

However, this issue will affect the Maintenance Service Bundling Eligible (BE) calculation (maintenance service task pull-ahead) and erroneously show some maintenance service tasks Bundling Eligible (BE).

CAUSE

The cause of this issue is currently under investigation.

CORRECTION

Maintenance Service Tasks show Recommended or Due

If a vehicle arrives at your workshop displaying the implausible Average Mileage Per Week/Average Service Life value of 1,584 with Recommended and/or Due maintenance service tasks:

Perform these and any corresponding connected maintenance service tasks.
Do not use or proceed with the bundling calculator's additional maintenance task recommendations.
The CBS data reset will also reset value for the Average Mileage per Week/Average Service Life.

Maintenance Service Tasks do not show Recommended or Due

Part replacements and/or a vehicle programming and encoding procedure will not provide a solution at this time.

This bulletin will be updated once a solution has been identified.
