SAFETY BELT FRONT OR REAR LOCKS WHEN PULLED

SITUATION
The safety belt at the front or rear locks when attempting to pull it for buckling up.
CAUSE
Quickly pulling on the safety belt can cause the safety belt reel assembly to lock.
CORRECTION
Pull gently on the safety belt, then release the tension.
Avoid pulling quickly on the safety belt when buckling up.
PROCEDURE
Pull gently on the safety belt (approx. 13 lbf, or 60 N), then release the tension.
After doing this, the safety belt should be free again. It will then be possible to pull out the safety belt without it locking.
