Remove Outer Wheel Arch Section With Reinforcement

• Remove cavity sealing (1).
• Carry out separating cuts (2) as shown.
• Loosen welded connections in areas (3).

• Carry out separating cuts (1) as shown.
• Release welded connections in areas (2).
• Remove the C-pillar support and C-pillar reinforcement.

• Open welded connections in area (1).
• Remove the C-pillar insert (2).

• Open the welded connections in the areas (1) and remove the C-post tie rod.

• Mark and make the separating cut (1) according to dimension a.

  Dimension a = 280 mm.

• Release welded connections in areas (2).

• Continue the separating cut (1) from the previous operation as shown.

• Mark severance cut (1) according to schematic diagram and disconnect. Do not damage the underlying bonded rivet connection (2) in the process.

  Separate only the outer panel!

• Open the welded connections in the areas (3) from the inside.

• Open the welded connection in the area (1).

• Open spot-welded adhesive joints in areas (2).
• Loosen the bonded rivet connection joints in the areas (3). While doing so, do not damage the adjacent bonded rivet connections in the area (4).

• Remove outer section of wheel arch.
