Removing The Rear Left Side Panel

• Mark the separating cut (1) on the C-pillar according to the dimensions and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.

  Dimension a = 115 mm from the corner of the roof outer skin.

• Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

• Determine position of the severance cut in addition to the dimensions with the aid of a template (1).

• Mark the separating cut (1) on the door sill according to dimensions and disconnect. Disconnect only the outer panel.

  Dimension = 20 mm from the center of the hole with 20 mm diameter.

• Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

• Release welded connections in areas (1).
• Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (2).
• Release folded bonded joints in area (3).
• Release the side panel from the cavity sealings (4).
• Release welded connections in areas (1).

• Open welded connections in area (1). Remove side wall.

• Open welded connections in area (1).
• Release bonded joint (2). 
• Remove lock striker reinforcement.
