Positioning the new rear axle differential on the special tool
CAUTION:

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Position the new rear axle differential (1) on the special tool 0 496 009 (33 5 200)
.
If necessary, ask for support by a second person.
- Secure the rear axle differential (1) with the tie rod (2) with the special tool 0 496 009 (33 5 200) .
- Remove the protective caps of the radial shaft seal.
- Position the assembly protection ring (1) in the radial shaft seals (2) of the drive flanges.
Follow-up work
- For reuse: checking the output shaft on the left and right and replacing the SNAP RINGS .
- Install rear AXLE DIFFERENTIAL .
- Fasten the rear axle differential right and left OUTPUT SHAFTS .
- Check/top up the rear axle differential OIL LEVEL .
- Secure the rear axle differential PROPELLER SHAFT .
- Install the rear HEAT SHIELD .
- Install EXHAUST SYSTEM
- Install the left and right camber control arm COVER .
