Installing the spring strut support bearing

• Check spring pad (1)  for damage, replace if necessary.
• Align the spring pad (1)  correctly with the spring strut support bearing (2)  according to the mark.

• Check spring strut, auxiliary damper, protective tube and spring pad (2)  for damage, replace if necessary.
• Align coil spring end (1)  on the spring pad (2)  with the stop.

• Mount the spring strut support bearing on the piston rod of the spring strut.
• Align the coil spring end (1)  at the spring pad (2)  to the stop.

• Replace nut.

  Parts:  Nut

• Tighten the nut of the spring strut support bearing (1)  with the special tool 0 496 514 (33 0 040)  .

• Refer to INSTALLING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
• Refer to INSTALLING THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT OR RIGHT .
