Replace positive battery cable
Preliminary works
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
NOTE:

Damage to battery terminal, the safety battery terminal or the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
Damaged battery terminals can lead to malfunctions or vehicle electrical system faults.

- Pull off battery terminal from battery pole. Do not pry off using a tool.
- Unclip the cover (1) from the latch mechanisms (arrows).
- Remove the cover for the positive battery terminal (1).
- Slacken nut (2).
- Unlock the connector (3) on the intelligent battery sensor (IBS) and disconnect it.
- Loosen nut (4).
- Remove the positive battery cable (5).
- Position the positive battery cable (5).
- Tighten nut (4).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Positive battery cable Positive pole screw Tightening torque 15 Nm - Connect the connector (3) to the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
- Tighten nut (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Positive battery terminal to battery Nut Tightening torque 5 Nm - Close the positive terminal cover (1).
- Clip in the cover (1).
- Check the latch mechanisms (arrows) for correct fit.
Follow-up Work
- Connect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Activate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
