Installing the 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery
WARNING:
Working on 12 V vehicle electrical system.

- Make sure that no charger is connected to the jump start support point in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery earth lead from battery.
- With auxiliary batteries: Detach all battery earth leads from additional batteries.

Unprotected battery terminals.

- Cover the vehicle battery.
- Position the 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery (1).
- Position the battery cover (2).
- Tighten nuts (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Battery cover to battery holder Nut M6 Tightening torque 8 Nm WARNING: Incorrect screw connection of the battery cable.
Risk of fire!- Make sure that the battery cable is screwed together with the correct nut.
- Position the positive battery cable (3) on the positive battery terminal.
- Tighten nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Positive battery cable to 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery Nut M8 Tightening torque 19 Nm - Tighten nuts (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Positive battery cable to 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery Nut M8 Tightening torque 19 Nm - Close the positive terminal cover (1).
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
Follow-up Work
- Install the right luggage compartment wheel arch TRIM PANEL .
- Install loading EDGE TRIM .
- Install the luggage compartment floor TRIM PANEL .
- Install rear seat BACKREST .
- Install the rear SEAT BENCH .
- Install right backrest SIDE SECTION .
- Connect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Activate the 48v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
