Installing exhaust camshaft sensor of cylinder bank 1

→ Checking the sealing ring on the camshaft position sensor 

Check 

• Check the O-ring (1) on the camshaft position sensor for damage.

Result 

» O-ring (1) damaged

Measure

• Replace O-ring (1).

Parts:  O-ring

Result 

» O-ring (1) not damaged.

Measure

• Continue the repair in the next step.

• Coat O-ring on the camshaft position sensor with motor oil.

• Position exhaust camshaft sensor of cylinder bank 1 (2).
• Tighten down screw (1).

M6x16 screw	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• The plug connection of the exhaust camshaft sensor and the ignition coil can be confused, as they are encoded the same. Observe the cable colors in the wiring diagram.

• Connect connectors (1) and lock.
