Installing starter motor

• Insert and install the starter motor (2).
• Tighten down screws (1).

• Insert and install the acoustic cover of the oil sump (3).
• Secure clamps (1).
• Connect and lock the clamp (2).

  The clamp (2) must engage audibly.

• Insert and install cable (3).
• Connect and lock the clamp (2).
• Connect and lock the clamp (1).

All clamps must engage audibly.

• Insert and install cable (1).
• Fasten and lock the clamps (arrows).

• Connect cable (1) to the starter motor.
• Tighten nut (2).

• Feed the positive battery cable (3) in on the starter and install.
• Install the anti-twist lock (4) of the positive battery cable to the starter motor up to the stop (5).
• Tighten nut (6).

• Refer to INSTALLING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION OR FRONT THRUST FIELD .
• Refer to CONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE .
