Installing starter motor
CAUTION:
Improper routing of the positive battery cable.
Risk of short circuits!
Risk of short circuits!
- Route the positive battery cable without abrasions and do not trap.
- Insert and install the starter motor (2).
- Tighten the screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Starter mounting to engine M8x60 Tightening torque 19 Nm - Insert and install the sound insulation (1).
- Secure the clamps (arrows).
- Secure the clamps (arrows).
- Insert and install terminal 50 (1).
- Tighten nut (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Terminal 50 to starter motor M6 hexagon nut Tightening torque 7 Nm - Insert and install the positive battery cable (3).
- Attach the positive battery cable (3) at the stop (4).
- Tighten nut (5).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Battery positive lead to starter Cap nut M8 Tightening torque 13.5 Nm
