Install the positive battery cable from the starter motor to the auxiliary terminal for jump starting

Positive battery cable from the starter motor to the remote positive terminal

Prerequisite 

• Insert and install the positive battery cable (1).
• Secure the clamps (arrows).

• Feed in and install the heat shield (2).
• Tighten nuts (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Heat shield to body
  Nut	Tightening torque	3 Nm

• Insert and install the positive battery cable (1).
• Shift the positive battery cable (1) to the stop (2) on the starter motor.
• Tighten nut (3).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Battery positive lead to starter
  M8	Tightening torque	13.5 Nm

• Insert and install the positive battery cable (3).
• Secure clamps (2).
• Tighten nut (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Battery positive lead to battery positive terminal
  M8	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Insert and install the cover (2) in the direction of the arrow.

  The locks (1) must engage audibly.
