Connecting battery earth lead for active steering

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Disconnect and connect the battery at the battery terminals only. Do not disconnect at the connectors!

Position battery earth lead onto negative terminal and fasten using bolt (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Active steering battery terminal
M6	Tightening torque	6 Nm

Close the protective cap (1).
In a version starting from 07/2016: If necessary, position cover (2) and clip in at the clips (1).
The cover is optionally installed.

Slide auxiliary battery (2) with related foam insert to left.
Insert foam insert (1) of separating element from above downwards.

Position the retaining bracket (2).

Tighten the screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Battery holder on body (active steering)
Hexagon screw M6	Tightening torque	8 Nm
