Replacing the 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery
Preliminary works
- Deactivate the 48v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Remove right backrest SIDE SECTION .
- Remove rear SEAT BENCH .
- Remove rear SEAT BACKREST .
- Remove the luggage compartment floor TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the loading EDGE TRIM .
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch TRIM PANEL .
Prerequisite
WARNING:
Working on 12 V vehicle electrical system.
Risk of short circuits! Risk of fire!

- Make sure that no charger is connected to the jump start support point in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery earth lead from battery.
- With auxiliary batteries: Detach all battery earth leads from additional batteries.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Open positive terminal cover (1).
- Release nut (1),
- Release nuts (2),WARNING: Unprotected battery terminals.
Risk of short circuits! Risk of fire!- Cover the vehicle battery.
- Pull off the positive battery cable (3) from the positive battery terminal and fix it at the side.
- Release nuts (1).
- Remove the battery cover (2).
- Remove the 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery (1).
