Replace ACC sensor

Preliminary works 

• Remove front ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
• Partially remove the front section of the front wheel ARCH COVER
• Remove front BUMPER PANEL .
• Remove ACC SENSOR .

• Release the radome (1) at the latch mechanisms (2) with the aid of special tool 2 298 505  and a (9 mm) wrench socket (3) from the ACC sensor (4) and remove it.
  NOTE: Carefully clamp the ACC sensor onto the metal frame in a vice for easier removal of the radome.

• Check the latch mechanisms (2) for damage and replace the radome if necessary.
• Mount the radome (1) on the new ACC sensor (3) and engage it at the latch mechanisms (2).

Follow-up Work 

• Install the ACC SENSOR .
• Adjust the ACC SENSOR .
• Install front BUMPER PANEL .
• Install front ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
• Install (partially removed) front section of front wheel ARCH COVER
• ENCODE/PROGRAM control unit(s)
