Installing the left oxygen sensor monitor

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Equipment specification with heat protection mat:
- Install and tighten the oxygen sensor monitor using the special tool 0 491 074 (11 7 020). TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Front Lambda oxygen sensor/oxygen sensor monitor on catalytic converter M18x1.5 tightening torque 50 Nm - Slide the heat protection mat (2) over the oxygen sensor monitor.
- Clip in the push-buttons (1).
- Install and tighten the oxygen sensor monitor using the special tool 0 491 074 (11 7 020).
- Equipment specification with heat protection wire ring:
- Install and tighten the oxygen sensor monitor using the special tool 0 491 074 (11 7 020). TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Front Lambda oxygen sensor/oxygen sensor monitor on catalytic converter M18x1.5 tightening torque 50 Nm - Slide the heat protection wire ring (2) over the oxygen sensor monitor.
- Clip in the retaining clip (1).
- Clip the cable (1) of the oxygen sensor monitor into the holders (2).
- Clip the cable (1) of the oxygen sensor monitor into the holders (2).
- Clip the cable (1) of the oxygen sensor monitor into the holders (2).
- Pass the connector (2) of the oxygen sensor monitor under the engine ventilation line (1).
- Connect plug connection (1) and lock.
- Slide the plug connection of the oxygen sensor monitor (2) downwards in area (1) and secure.
- Fasten the bracket in area (1) to the charge air cooler.
- Connect the quick-release coupling (1) and lock.
- Feed in top clean air pipe (2) and install.
- Tighten clamps (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Upper clean air pipe to lower clean air pipe Hose clamp Tightening torque 3 Nm
- Install and tighten the oxygen sensor monitor using the special tool 0 491 074 (11 7 020).
