Remove fan cowl

Prerequisite 

• Ignition is switched off.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER ON LEFT AND RIGHT IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE TOP .
• Refer to REMOVING LEFT INTAKE FILTER HOUSING WITH LEFT FRONT-END STRUT .
• Refer to REMOVING RIGHT INTAKE FILTER HOUSING WITH RIGHT FRONT-END STRUT .
• Refer to REMOVE FRONT CROSS CONNECTION .
• Refer to REMOVE THE REAR TOP CROSS CONNECTION .

Prerequisite 

Ignition is switched off.

• Loosen screws (1).

• Unlock and disconnect the connector (1) from the fan cowl.
• Unlock the connector (2) and detach from the coolant temperature sensor.

• Release the clamps (1) for the coolant hose from the fan cowl.

• Release clamps (1) at left on the fan cowl.
• Lay the cable to one side.

• If fitted: 

  Release the left coolant line (1) at the fan cowl from the clamps (2) and place to one side.

• Feed out fan cowl (1) upwards and remove.
