- Cover the starter motor generator with suitable, watertight auxiliary materials.
- Close off line connections with seal plugs.
- If necessary: Rinse off the coolant leaking from starter motor generator with at least 1 l of water.

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.

- Loosen clamp (1).
- Loosen clamps (2).
- Unlock and loosen coolant line (1).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Release screws (1).
- Feed out the support (2) for the intake plenum and remove it.
- Unlock and loosen coolant line (1).
- Unlock and loosen coolant line (2).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) for the heat management module.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (2) for the heat management module.
- Loosen clamp (3).
- Unlock and release the coolant line (4).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Loosen nut (1).
- Feed out the grounding cable (2) and set aside.
- Loosen clamp (3).
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) on the knock sensor.
- Loosen clamp (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Feed out and remove the heat management module (1) with the connecting pipe (2).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Guide out and remove connecting pipe (1) from heat management module (2) in the arrow direction .
