Remove front silencer

Before removal, disconnect all components from the voltage supply: Switch off lighting system and ignition.

Preliminary work

WARNING: Hot surfaces.
Risk of burning!

CAUTION: Heavy component.
Heavy components can lead to injury or damage.

Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

CAUTION: Shavings resulting from sawing or grinding components.
Injury hazard!

If the separation point is not marked by a punch mark in the pipe, determine the separation point by means of the pipe length on the new front silencer (1).
Mark the separation point on the component being replaceed.
Protect the front silencer (1) and rear silencer from falling.
Cut through the component to be replaceed at the marked point with a suitable tool.

Release the ribbon clamp (1).
