- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Shavings resulting from sawing or grinding components.

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
- Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
- If the separation point is not marked by a center mark in the pipe, determine the separation point by the length of the pipe on the new intermediate pipe (3).
- Mark the separation point on the component being replaceed.
- Secure the rear silencer (1) and the front silencer/gasoline particulate filter (2) to prevent them from falling.
- Cut through the component to be replaced at the marked point with a suitable tool.
- Unscrew the bolt (1) from the rear axle support.
- Feed the intermediate pipe (1) out and remove.
