Remove the clean air pipe of cylinder bank 2

Prerequisite 

• ignition is switched off.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVE THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON TOP .
• Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER PANEL OF THE LEFT DME CONTROL UNIT .
• Refer to REMOVING LEFT INTAKE FILTER HOUSING WITH LEFT FRONT-END STRUT .
• Refer to RELEASING LEFT CHARGE AIR LINE PARTIALLY .

• Press the tank vent line (1) on the catch (2) and unlock.
• Disconnect the tank vent line (1).
• Fold back the tank vent line (1).

• Ensure that the high pressure pump connector (1) is not confused with the intake air temperature sensor connector. 
• If there are no colored marks (3) on the plug connections of the high pressure pump: Attach the marks. 

  If necessary, identify the connector using the wiring diagram by means of cable colors in area (2).

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

• Unclip the wiring harness mounting (2) on the fixing clamps (1).

• Using suitable screwdrivers (3), lever the retaining clips (1) upwards and unclip from the surrounding guides (2).

  Due to the design, locking the retaining clip (2) in place in the release position is not possible. 

• Remove clean air pipe of bank 2 (4).
