Installing the drive belt for the coolant pump

• Feed in and position the drive belt (1).

  If necessary, observe the marked direction of rotation.

• Make sure the drive belt (1) for the coolant pump is correctly positioned at the coolant pump (3) in the marked area.
• Make sure the drive belt (1) for the coolant pump is correctly positioned at the vibration damper (2) in the marked area.
• Make sure the drive belt (1) for the coolant pump is correctly positioned at the tensioning pulley (4) in the marked area.

• Tighten tensioning pulley in the direction of the arrow up to the stop.

• Replace the nut (1).

  Parts: Nut

• Tighten nut (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Nut on belt tensioner
  M10 Replace nut.	Tightening torque	38 Nm

  Check

  • Check if the Torx socket (2) is located in the marked area (arrow).

  Result

  » The Torx socket (2) is outside the marked area.

  Measure

  • Tension the drive belt again.
• Install the cover (1).
