Preparing the oil vacuum pump

- Adhere to the utmost cleanliness.
- Protect components from contamination e.g. by covering.
- Close off line connections with seal plugs.
- Feed out and remove the centering sleeves (1) using standard tools (2) in arrow direction.
- Replace the centering sleeves (1).
Parts: Centering sleeves
- Feed in and install centering sleeves (1) on the oil vacuum pump (2).
- Insert and install the sprocket wheel (1) at the oil vacuum pump (2). Make sure that the labeling on the sprocket wheel points to the front.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The thread is a left-hand thread. - Replace the screw (1).
Parts: Screw
- Feed in the screw (1) and install.
- Counter hold the sprocket wheel with the special tool 0 491 440 (23 0 020)
and tighten the screw (1) with standard tools (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Important - left-hand thread
Replace screw.1. Joining torque 5 Nm 2. Angle of rotation 90° - Make sure the sealing ring (1) is installed correctly.
The sealing ring (1) must not be damaged or missing.
