- There are different versions. Refer to Driveshaft with outer axial support .
- Driveshaft
- Removing and Installing. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Removing and installing on the rear final drive. Refer to DRIVE SHAFT, REMOVING FROM REAR FINAL DRIVE AND INSTALLING .
- Replace the boot. Refer to BOOT, REPLACING .
- There are different versions. Refer to Driveshaft with outer axial support .
- Bolt
M8 or M10 bolts
- Always replace.
- M8 bolts are self-locking. Because the threads in the flange shaft on the rear final drive must be cleaned of locking fluid residue. Use a thread tap to clean.
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
- Locking Plate
- Always replace.
- Seal
- Always replace.
- Clean the flange shaft and position the seal
- Ignore different colored sides when installing
- Rear Final Drive
Removing and Installing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE .
- Intermediate Bearing
- Install the alignment pin in the hole on the underbody and tighten.
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Bolt
- 28 Nm
- Heat Shield
- Not installed on all versions

- Counterhold the M8 bolt with the Counterhold - Multiple Use: T10172A and Counterhold - Kit - Adapter 5 : T10172/5 .
- Counterhold the M10 bolt with Counterhold - Multiple Use: T10172A and Counterhold - Kit - Adapter 6 : T10172/6 .
-- Tighten the bolts -1- in three steps:
