Cooling System, Bleeding, High-Voltage System Cooling Circuit
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Cooling System Tester: VAG1274B
Procedure
-- Put the Cooling System Tester: VAG1274B on the Cooling System Tester - Adapter : VAG1274/8 .
-- Create a pressure of 1 bar (14.5 psi) using the hand pump on the cooling system tester.
- Before starting the bleeding procedure, ensure that both coolant circuits (engine coolant circuit / high-voltage system cooling circuit) are filled with coolant.
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.
-- Select the Test plan tab.
-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:
- Body (display depending on the version)
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (display depending on the version)
- 0001 - OBD-Capable Systems or Diagnostic-Capable System
- 00C5 - Thermal Management Control Module J1024
- 00C5 - Thermal Management Control Module, Functions
- 00C5 - Basic Setting
- 00C5 - Coolant Circuit, Bleeding
-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Install the underbody trim panels. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
Continuation of the Filling Procedure:
-- Check the coolant level and fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING, HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM COOLING CIRCUIT .
