Brake Rotor, Weighing

Procedure

-- Remove the brake rotor to weigh it. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CERAMIC BRAKES .

CAUTION:

Health risk due to toxic dust from the brake system.

Irreversible deposit of dust particles in the lungs. Breathing may become impaired.

- Always wear a mouth and nose mask when cleaning the ceramic brake rotor.

CAUTION:

Risk of inaccurate measurement results due to incorrect handling.

- Never clean the brake rotor with water or other fluids.

-- Carefully lay the clean brake rotor on the scale.

CAUTION:

Risk of accident due to insufficient braking action on worn ceramic brake rotors.

Reusing ceramic brake rotors that have reached the wear limit is not permitted.

- Immediately replace the ceramic brake rotors once they have reached one of the wear limits defined below.

CAUTION:

Risk of accident due to uneven braking.

- If a brake rotor is damaged or worn, check the other brake rotors for damage and wear.
