Overview - Condenser

  1. Receiver/Dryer Insert
    • There are different versions.
    • Insert all the way in the mount in the receiver/dryer on the proper side.
    • With screen
    • This illustration shows an insert as it is installed on a "Denso" condenser. On a "Showa/Keihin" condenser, an insert with a different contour is installed, however the function and removal and installation is the same.
    • Check the receiver/dryer; if there is contamination, clean the refrigerant circuit or replace the condenser, if necessary. Refer to A/C System, General Information or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CLEANING .
    • Pull the insert using a suitable hook -A- (for example 3 mm welding wire) from the receiver/dryer.

  3. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing. Refer to the Parts Information for the version.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  4. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing. Refer to the Parts Information for the version.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  5. Plug with Filter Element
  6. Sealing Surfaces in the Receiver/Dryer
    • Check for contamination or damage
  7. Receiver/Dryer
  8. Condenser
  9. High Pressure Sensor -G65-
  10. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing. Refer to the Parts Information for the version.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  11. Connection with Valve
  12. Screw
    • Tightening specification: 8 Nm
    • Not installed on all models
