CLUTCH PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A/C COMPRESSOR "Denso" (WITH A/C CLUTCH -N25-): Removing

-- Perform the preparatory work. Refer to PRELIMINARY WORK FOR REPLACING BELT PULLEY .

-- Remove the cap -A-.

-- Hold the compressor shaft -B- securely with a commercially available hex socket wrench (7 mm) and turn the clutch plate -C- in the direction of the -arrow-.

TIP

• The torque to drive the A/C compressor is transferred to the clutch plate -C- via the threaded connection. If, when operating the A/C compressor, the clutch plate -C- was attached to the A/C compressor shaft -B- so tightly that it can no longer be loosened (the 7 mm hex fitting cannot transfer the necessary torque), the A/C compressor must be replaced.
