Headlamp, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Turn the light switch to position "0".
-- Switch off the ignition and all electrical equipment. Place the ignition key outside of the vehicle.
-- Remove the bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bumper cover mount. Refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- If equipped, remove the headlamp washer spray nozzle and move it to the side with the washer fluid hose still attached. Refer to WASHER NOZZLES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Extremely dangerous due to high-voltage.
When the headlamps are switched on, the HID headlamp components marked with the yellow high-voltage symbol are under high voltage. Electric shock may occur if components are contacted.
- Never touch the components marked with the yellow high-voltage symbols when the lighting is switched on.
- When performing procedures, switch off the ignition and all electrical equipment, and place the ignition key outside of the vehicle.
- Do not operate the flashers.
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Remove the breather hose -1-.
-- Tape off the headlamp -1- in the fender area using adhesive tape -2- as shown.
-- Remove the screws -arrows-.
-- Mark the spring element -2- to the bracket for the bumper cover -1- -arrow-.
-- Remove the screws -arrows-.
-- Pull the bumper cover bracket -1- forward as far as possible and remove the headlamp -2- at the same time.
