Transmission Coolant Pipes, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Dual Clutch Transmission: Removing
The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is warm. There is a risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a cloth and carefully opening it.
-- Open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the catch in direction of -arrow-.
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
Vehicles with a Particulate Filter:
-- Remove the front muffler. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray: VAS6208 underneath.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Disconnect and remove the coolant hoses with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm: 3094 , to do this, loosen the hose clamps -1-.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -2- and remove the coolant pipe.
