2. If there is no ribbed belt installed (torn, for example):
-- Position the ribbed belt tensioner -3- as shown and if necessary for this turn the ribbed belt tensioner by hand -arrows B-.
-- Insert the Locking Pin: T10060A -2- in the lower hole -arrow A- and turn the tensioner farther counter-clockwise -arrow B- until the drift contact the lower mounting tab -1- from the tensioner.
-- Turn the tensioner in the direction of -arrow- and lock the tensioner as shown using a commercially available steel pin (4 mm diameter) -1-. At the same time pay attention to that the >>tab<< of the tensioner is located between the Locking Pin: T10060A and the steel pin -1-.
-- Remove the Locking Pin: T10060A .
Continuation for All:
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the tensioner -1-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
- Different versions of the ribbed belt tensioners.
Versions with Mounting Tab with Flattened Contour:
-- Position the ribbed belt tensioner >>1<< as shown at the same time pay attention that the mounting tab is aligned with the flattened contour -2- at approximately -12 o'clock-.
Versions without Mounting Tab with Flattened Contour:
-- Position the ribbed belt tensioner -1- as shown.
Continuation for All:
-- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
