Tunnel CROSSMEMBER, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Equipped on some models: remove the tunnel underbody trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .

-- Equipped on some models: remove the bolts -arrows- and nut -2-.

-- Remove the end panel -1- for the crossbrace.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- from the front exhaust pipe.

-- Attach the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support: T10337  to the Engine and Gearbox Jack: VAS6931  and position it underneath the transmission as shown.

-- Raise the transmission slightly.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the nuts -1- and remove the tunnel crossmember.
