Leak Test Preparation For Driver Lumbar Support Adjustment Pump -V152- / Front Passenger Lumbar Support Adjustment Pump -V153- And Pressure Line
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
- Digital Pressure Sensor: VAG1397B
- Pneumatic Repair Set: VAS6618A
When an appropriate entry is made in the event memory, there is a prompt in "Guided Fault Finding" to perform a leak check. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Then the preparations for this leak test are described that must be carried out directly in the seat.
Connection diagram with assignment of the pneumatic lines to the air cushions. Refer to CONNECTION DIAGRAM - PNEUMATIC SYSTEM .
Procedure
In one of the test steps in "Guided Fault Finding" , there is a prompt to connect the : VAG1397B to the pneumatic line from the Driver Lumbar Support Adjustment Pump -V152- / Front Passenger Lumbar Support Adjustment Pump -V153-.
- The backrest cover is removed. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the pneumatic line -1- for the Driver Lumbar Support Adjustment Pump -V152- / Front Passenger Lumbar Support Adjustment Pump -V153- at the following location. Refer to PNEUMATIC LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
- -a- = 80 mm
-- Using the hoses and adapter pieces from the : VAS6618A , connect the : VAG1397B to the pneumatic line -1- coming from the pump.
To connect, insert the pneumatic lines into the : VAS6618/3 from both sides in direction of -A arrows-.
To release, push the release rings in direction of -B arrows- and simultaneously remove pneumatic lines in direction of -C arrows-.
In one of the test steps in "Guided Fault Finding" , there is a prompt to connect the : VAG1397B directly to the pump.
- Front seat released in the vehicle and folded toward the rear with the connectors connected. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect and free up the pneumatic line at the pump. Refer to Removing - Disconnect the pneumatic line -2- on the pump -1- by pressing the release ring in direction of -arrows-. .
-- Disconnect the pneumatic line -2- from the pump -1- at the following location. Refer to PNEUMATIC LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
- -a- = 160 mm
-- Using the line and adapter pieces from the : VAS6618A , connect the : VAG1397B to the pneumatic line -2- for the pump -1-.
-- Connect the pneumatic lines following the leak test. Refer to PNEUMATIC LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
