Roof Frame Cover, Removing And Installing, A5 SPORTBACK: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- The vehicle and the roof frame cover must be at room temperature.
- The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
-- Remove the adhesive residue from the body.
-- Clean the painted side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution :D 009 401 04 and let dry.
-- Fold back the ends of the protective film, or attach a pulling aid -3- to the protective films.
-- Align the roof frame cover -1- with the centering pin -6- on the body -5-.
-- Drive in the roof frame cover retaining bolt -2- in the mount -4- all the way.
-- Remove the protective film on the pulling aids from the adhesive tape.
-- Press the roof frame cover on until it audibly engages.
-- Push on the roof frame cover in the area of the adhesive surface from inward outward.
- Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
