Procedure
-- Clamp the drive unit with the engine-side -1- into a vise.
CAUTION:
There is a risk of injury from the knife and plastic particles in the air.
Eye irritation or injury could occur.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Wear safety gloves.
-- Cut open and then remove the protective cover -3- using a sharp cutter -arrow-.
CAUTION:
Risk of eye injury due to flying shavings.
Eye irritation and injury is possible.
- Wear protective eyewear.
-- Separate the spring wire in distance -a- from the engine-side, using the Commercially Available Metal Saw.
- Dimension -a- = 100 mm.
-- Turn the drive unit -1- and the spring half -2- into one another, in that way, the spring is released of tension.
