Front Expansion Valve, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- Coat the O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- Install the refrigerant lines stress-free.
-- Check the support ring -D- for proper installation position and check the grommet in the plenum chamber rear panel for damage and proper installation.
-- Clean the connecting tubes -B- and -C- for the evaporator and check for damage.
-- Check that the retaining plate -A- is correctly positioned on the evaporator connecting tubes -B- and -C-.
-- Insert the O-ring seals -D- and -E- into the grooves from the connecting tubes -B- and -C- -arrows-.
-- Always clean the expansion valve and refrigerant lines around the connection area and check for damage.
-- Make sure the O-ring seals fit properly inside the grooves in the refrigerant line connections -B and C-.
-- Evacuate and charge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit or Working with A/C Service Station (1 Of 2) / Working with A/C Service Station (2 Of 2) .
-- Start the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING AFTER CHARGING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
