Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Move the right front seat all the way to the rear.
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the right footwell vent. Refer to FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the screw clips -A-.
-- Loosen the insulation -B- from the heater and A/C unit air intake manifold and remove.
-- If equipped, remove the air duct for the glove compartment cooling. Refer to AIR DUCT FOR GLOVE COMPARTMENT COOLING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Release the locking mechanism -B- on the connector -A- to the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- and remove the connector -A-.
-- Remove the bolts -A-.
There is a risk of burns by the metal surfaces on the auxiliary heater heating element. Heating elements can be very hot.
It is possible for the skin to be burned.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Never touch the metal surfaces of the heating element.
-- Pull the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- -B- from the installation slot of the heater and A/C unit.
