Convertible Top Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front convertible top seal. Refer to FRONT CONVERTIBLE TOP SEAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear convertible top seal. Refer to REAR CONVERTIBLE TOP SEAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the convertible top headliner. Refer to CONVERTIBLE TOP HEADLINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the adhesive tape -2- on the side on the front rail -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Free up the guide band -2 and 3-.

-- Tape off the clamping brackets of the commercially available wide jaw locking pliers -3- with felt strips -1 and 2- to protect the convertible top cover.

-- Using the wide jaw locking pliers -2-, remove the retaining strip on the convertible top cover -1- from the frame on the rear main guide and from the bracket.

-- Loosen the adhesive tape -3- over the guide cable.

-- Disengage the guide cable -1- from the front rail -2-.

-- Free up the guide cable at the convertible top cover by removing the guide cable from the guide -4- in the convertible top cover.

-- Loosen the bonding of the bow arch -1 and 4- from the "bows 1 and 2".

-- Remove the bolt -2- and free up the guide cable -3-.

-- Remove the convertible top cover from the front rail and fold it toward the rear.

-- Right side: disconnect the connector -2- and free up the wiring harness -1- -arrows-.

-- Fold the side convertible top cover on the rear window.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 4- and free up the guide cable -2 and 3- -arrows-.

-- Left side: disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Depending on vehicle equipment: loosen the relay lever -1 and 3- from the rear window frame, to do so remove the clamp -5- and the pin -4-.

-- Depending on vehicle equipment: loosen the relay lever -1 and 4- from the rear window frame by removing the spring washer -2- and the pin -3-.

-- Right side: disconnect the connector -5-.

-- Loosen the rear window relay lever -1 and 4- from the rear window frame, to do so remove the clamp -3- and the pin -2-.

• The retainer -7- with the antenna is loosened at the same time that the rear window relay lever is loosened.

-- Disconnect the antenna wire -6-.

-- Fold the rear window -2- forward and loosen the bow flap -3- from the "bow 5".
