Convertible Top Headliner, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear interior lamp/reading lamp. Refer to REAR INTERIOR LAMP/READING LAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front trim panel. Refer to FRONT TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the expanding rivet -arrows-.

-- Lower the convertible top headliner -1- to the "bow 2".

-- Remove the screws -arrows-.

-- Remove the retaining strip -1- for the convertible top headliner on the "bow 2".

-- Lower the convertible top headliner to the "bow 3".

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the guide cable -2- with the guiding eye -1-.

-- Remove the screws -arrows-.

-- Remove the retaining strip -3- for the convertible top headliner on the "bow 3".

-- Free up the wiring harness -1- on the wiring channel -2-.

-- Grasp behind the convertible top headliner -1- and remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the mount -2- with the convertible top headliner from the "bow 3".

-- Remove the bolts -1- and free up the guide band -2-.

-- Lower the convertible top headliner to the "bow 4".

-- Remove the bolt -6-.

-- Free up the guide cables -1, 2 and 4- to do so guide out the guide cables through the cable guide -3-.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and free up the cover -7- for the convertible top compartment hinge.

-- Remove the bolt -9- and free up the guide -8- with the guide cable.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Remove the retaining strip -3- for the convertible top headliner on the "bow 4".

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the convertible top headliner -5- with the retaining strip -4- from the rear window frame.

-- Remove the convertible top headliner retaining strip -2- from the frame -1- on the tensioning bracket in direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolts -5-.

-- Loosen the guide cable -item  10-.

-- Remove the convertible top headliner -3- with the retaining strip -4-.

-- Place the convertible top headliner in the vehicle interior.

-- Fold up the convertible top headliner and remove it forward.

-- If the convertible top headliner is to be replaced, also remove the following components:

• Rear interior lamp mount. Refer to REAR INTERIOR LAMP MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
