Rear Lid Relay Lever Tension Cable, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Bring the convertible top into its service position. Refer to Position .

-- Remove the end piece -4- of the convertible top seal from the retaining strip -3-.

-- Remove the convertible top seal -2- from the retaining strip.

-- Loosen the retaining studs -1- from the retaining strip.

-- Remove the convertible top cover connection -5- from the retaining strip -6- and carefully remove the convertible top seal -arrow-.

-- Tape off the clamping brackets of the commercially available wide jaw locking pliers -3- with felt strips -1 and 2- to protect the convertible top cover.

-- Using the wide jaw locking pliers -2-, remove the retaining strip on the convertible top cover -1- from the frame on the rear main guide.

-- Push the convertible top cover to the side.

-- Position the screwdriver -1- as shown on the main bearing and remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the rear window relay lever. Refer to REAR WINDOW RELAY LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the tension cable -3- with the rear lid relay lever -4-.
