-- Bring the convertible top into its service position. Refer to Position : .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

-- Remove the convertible top. Refer to CONVERTIBLE TOP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the glove compartment on a soft surface.

-- Bring the convertible top into position shown.

-- Using a small screwdriver, lift the locking springs -1 and 2- slightly and remove the hydraulic cylinder -3- from the ball pin.

-- Cut through the cable tie -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and free up the cable holders -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -4 and 6- and the cable holder -5-.

-- Free up the connector -1-.

-- Guide out the hydraulic cylinder -1- between the convertible top cover -2- and convertible top linkage -3- downward.

-- Guide out the hydraulic cylinder -2- as shown on the tensioning bracket -1-.

-- Free up the hydraulic lines and wiring harness -arrow-.

-- Release the clamp -4- and remove the retaining pin -1 and 3-.
