Approved Refrigerant Oils For Refrigerant R134A
The special refrigerant oil that is only to be used for refrigerant circuits with refrigerant R134a is not commercially available.
- Only fill the refrigerant circuit with approved refrigerant oils. The correct refrigerant oil depends on the manufacturer and the type of A/C compressor installed.
- Too much refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit increases the pressures and reduces the cooling output of the system.
- Too little refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit can lead to A/C compressor failure due to lubrication problems.
- Refrigerant oil absorbs moisture. Do not use refrigerant oil from containers that have been left open for a long period of time. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, GENERAL INFORMATION .
Important information:
Refrigerant oil attracts moisture. Close any opened containers immediately after use to prevent moisture from entering.
- The specification about the usability of the refrigerant oil is given on the bottle the refrigerant oil is delivered in.
- This time specification does not need to be observed when the delivered bottle is tightly sealed.
- Refrigerant oil from a tightly sealed bottle can also be used after the time specified on the bottle.
